Toolkit: Diversity and Inclusion by Practical Law New Zealand

Diversity and inclusion (D&I) is an increasingly important and high-profile issue for organisations, with implications for boards and senior management.

There is growing pressure to demonstrate D&I, and major corporations and other organisations are increasingly keen to demonstrate their success in hitting diversity targets.

What does the toolkit inform in-house lawyers about?

Developed by Practical Law New Zealand with assistance from Campbell Featherstone, Partner and Renee Butler, Senior Associate, Dentons Kensington Swan, this toolkit contains an outline of resources. These will help in-house lawyers develop, implement and manage their organisation’s diversity and inclusion (D&I) policies and strategies. This toolkit provides:

  • Information about data capture for D&I.
  • How the in-house legal department can work towards diversity in their own department and with their external providers.
  • Considerations surrounding workplace D&I, board diversity and D&I in governance and organisational culture.
  • Insight from international Practical Law D&I resources and includes links to Thomson Reuters’ further related D&I content.
