Sebastian Ko

Sebastian is a legaltech lawyer and entrepreneur, and a co-author of The RegTech Book and The LegalTech Book (Wiley). He is a World Commerce & Contracting Council Member, MIT Technology Review Global Panelist and leads the InnoTech Law Hub Working Group. He was senior legal counsel and Asia regional director at a leading legaltech company. Previously, he practised financial regulatory law and commercial dispute resolution as a solicitor at international law firms. Mr. Ko is a risk management trainer at the Hong Kong Academy of Law, an accredited mediator and certified contract and commercial management advanced practitioner. Sebastian holds degrees in science and law, including the Bachelor of Civil Law (Oxford), and is legally qualified in Hong Kong, New York and at the U.S. Supreme Court. He is trained in research design and data analytics (using R and Python).
